‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ has gone viral with a marketing campaign that gives some insights into the plot of the new film. 20th Century Fox has released new details and some exciting viral marketing for the new film.
Blending timelines from the previous ‘X-Men’ film franchise and Matthew Vaughn’s ‘X-Men: First Class,’ the May 23, 2014 release of ‘Days of Future Past’ finds Logan/Wolverine time traveling to avert the destruction of humanity and mutants alike.
Trask Industries, founded by Bolivar Trask in 1967, initially sought to unlock the mysteries of human genetics by studying our DNA. What Trask ultimately discovered, however, was the “X-Gene” which poses a threat to the survival of the human race.
Here is a little background on Trask Industries.
Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) becomes consumed with controlling the evolution of the mutant X-Gene. His passion leads him to develop the “Sentinels.” These Sentinels are an armed giant robotic product of Trask Industries bent on controlling or destroying wayward mutants.

With plot details only slowly becoming public, what is known is that Hugh Jackman returns as Wolverine, tasked with traveling backward in time to prevent the extinction of the mutant race…and mankind.
‘Days of Future Past’ marks the return of original director of the film franchise, Bryan Singer. While the new film will follow some of the events established in previous films, ‘Days of Future Past’ will also bridge Matthew Vaughn’s excellent ‘X-Men: First Class’ feature from 2011.
During the end credits for ‘The Wolverine,’ currently in theaters, audiences will catch a glimpse of the severity of the threat Trask has created for man and mutant-kind. The end credit sequence is definitely ‘Nerdtastic.

The cast of ‘Days of Future Past’ will include original franchise cast members along with their younger selves portrayed in ‘X-Men: First Class.’
Professor X: Patrick Stewart/James McAvoy, Magneto: Sir Ian McKellan, Michael Fassbender, Wolverine: Hugh Jackman, Storm: Halle Berry in addition to Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde, Shawn Ashmore as Iceman, Anna Paquin as Rogue, Nick Hoult as Beast, and an unconfirmed rumor that James Marsden will return as Cyclops.
